Weddings for 2023 are booking up fast at The Wilbur and we’re so happy to share the success of our very first wedding in October! Having only just opened our doors to the community in the past few weeks, it was a feat to host a 200 person wedding in October! Not every final detail was in place, but our team of hospitality professionals made it happen and our bride and groom couldn’t have been happier!
Our owner’s daughter, Bailey Noble, married Jack DePew, on October 22nd! Clear sky’s, and warm 60’s made for the perfect outdoor ceremony. Our lush, green landscaping and Bethlehem Steel painted the backdrop for their "I do's". With our large retractable glass doors fully open, their guests were able to mingle on the lawn, the patio and in the ballroom without feeling separated. A guest favorite was our fire-pit which aided in cozy late night conversations. Dancing ensued all night and every single guest was beaming!
Their signature cocktail crafted by our mixologist Frank Lukaitis, a Paloma, was a nod to their California heritage and not one drop was wasted. Their menu was a thoughtful collaboration with Chef Jon. Grilled Pennsylvania Skirt Steak with Garlic Herb Butter, Hudson Valley Steelhead Trout with Roasted Lemon Vinaigrette, Roasted Delicata Squash with Curly Kale and Cranberries where among just some of the dishes created to reflect who Bailey and Jack are as a couple.
All nine of our boutique hotel rooms housed Bailey and Jack’s family and closest friends. Bailey spent the morning with the ladies getting ready in our hair and make-up suite and Jack hung with the guys in a large bedroom suite. Excitement was buzzing all around!
Their talented vendors Mark Kintzel (florals), Brooke Voris (coordinating), Fire Rock Productions (videographer), Alexandra Eveland (photographer), David Kloss (DJ) and the help of friends and family near and far truly made the day magical!
It was an absolute joy to experience The Wilbur in action for the first time! We are absolutely thrilled with the space and cannot wait for many more couples to create their dream wedding with us!
